For a young Orchard Park wrestling team, the focus remains on improvement. The team has had some encouraging meets and difficult losses early in the season, as nearly half the squad is composed of freshmen.
Last weekend, the team hosted an invitational for both the JV and varsity squads. The meet was a success overall as the Quakers finished third on the varsity side, had two JV guys finish as pool champions, had two second and three third-place varsity finishes, and saw Bret Morseon win his weight class of 195 pounds.
"It was a great tournament overall as a team," Orchard Park coach Jared Teal said. "Bret leads the team in wins and he's been pretty solid for us all season."
