Bartolomei looking forward to sectionals; NT sophomore will get shot at title on home mats

NEWS

CITY OF TONAWANDA — Tyler Bartolomei has his eyes focused on two sights: Clarence's Aiden Rabideau and Feb. 11 — the day of Section VI wrestling championships that will be held on his home mats at North Tonawanda High School.

Bartolomei, a sophomore currently in his second year with the Lumberjacks, with each match is staking his claim as one of the best lightweights in Western New York. Currently ranked No. 2 in WNY in the 99-pound weight class, Bartolomei is sporting a 29-2 record this season. In fact, he held the No. 1 seed for the early part of the season until Rabideau, his main rival, edged him out about a week ago. The top dogs in their weight division seem destined to meet again in February.
