Just when you thought the winter season was over, some local grapplers showed well on the national stage.

Cousins Justin and Willie McDougald placed second and fourth, respectively, in their freshman weight classes and Division II state champion Laith Alsous took fourth in his senior weight class at the National High School Wrestling Association National Wrestling Tournament, which was held Friday through Sunday in Virginia Beach. All were named All-Americans for placing in the event.
