ALDEN - A star athlete for Akron High School was killed Saturday morning when he was ejected from a car that rolled over on Peters Corners Road.
Johnny Fiebelkorn, 17, who was about to start his senior year at Akron, was a passenger in a car driven by his brother, Matt, Erie County sheriff's deputies said. The car rolled into a ditch, pinning Fiebelkorn, who was pronounced dead at the scene of the 1 a.m. crash. Deputies said Fiebelkorn was a rear passenger and was not wearing a seat belt. His brother and another passenger suffered minor injuries.
Johnny was a member and captain of Akron's wrestling team and had been captain of the football team.
