BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The College at Brockport wrestling team is off to a hot start in 2017, as junior Triston Engle has been named the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) Co-Wrestler of the Week after finishing first in the Brockport Open.
Engle, who is a returning All-American and fourth place finisher in the 197-lb weight class at last year's National Championships, was dominant in his first outing of the season, winning all five of his bouts. He pinned his first four opponents of the day in 1:03, 0:36, 1:12, and 0:27 before winning his championship bout by technical fall, 17-0.
