The Orchard Park wrestling team has already almost matched its win total from last season. The team went 5-10 overall last season, and is already 4-5 this season after a solid weekend at Southtowns Duals. The Quakers went 4-4 in the tournament, which was held at St. Francis High School.

he tournament was a solid start to what could be a breakout season for the program. The team is returning 16 athletes from last year's team. The program is also adding 30 new wrestlers, making for a total of 46.

"We have incredible numbers this year, especially freshman and sophomores," Teal said. "Although we are young and relatively inexperienced, we have demonstrated an innate ability to learn on the fly and rally around one another as teammates. It's been a fun group to coach so far, and I'm really looking forward to what the season has in store for us."
