West Seneca East grapplers posts win in two of season's first three matches

NEWS

Junior Zach Arnone and freshman Anthony SanFilippo each recorded pinfall victories Monday to help West Seneca East's wrestling team defeat CSAT, 40-18, for its first win under new head coach Tony Ricchiazzi.

East, which opened its season with losses to Depew (48-35) and Wilson (54-27), has just one senior on its roster this season in Kyle McCubbin, a 220-pounder who didn't compete last season. The majority of the squad is comprised of juniors and sophomores, since East lost 12 grapplers to graduation off a roster that recorded just three league wins a year ago.
