PAVILION — Eight local teams took part in the annual Steve Garland Memorial Team Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at Pavilion High School in a showcase of some of the top quality grappling programs around.

The team from Avon/Geneseo took the tournament as it finished the day with a perfect 5-0 record, including a thrilling 43-42 victory over Byron-Bergen in the championship match.
