WILKES-BARRE, PA- Lou DePrez of the Binghamton wrestling team earned a first place finish at 184 pounds at the Wilkes Open this past Friday. The redshirt freshman went 5-0 overall on the day with three pins and a tech fall to advance to the podium.
Sophomore Audey Ashkar (125) and redshirt freshman Aidan Monteverdi (165) both earned a sixth place finish in their respective weight classes. Ashkar went 4-2 on the day with two pins while Monteverdi battled back for a 4-2 finish, with all four victories coming from bonus point wins. As a team, Binghamton finished fifth out of 41 teams with three place winners and 66.5 overall points.
