Orchard Park wrestling team continues to build for future

NEWS

The Orchard Park wrestling team is on its way back up. The Quakers are 4-7 in dual meets, but many of those losses have been closer than in years past. The program has increased numbers and a solid group of young wrestlers.

"We're really close to turning the corner," Orchard Park coach Jared Teal said. "Four of those losses came down to one match. If one match had gone our way instead of theirs, we would have won. We have a lot of young guys. The vast majority of our team is freshmen and sophomores. There are only four guys that were starters last year that are starters again this year. The new guys are learning and getting better."
