Tonawanda wrestler Braddell takes runner-up at NFWOA Tourney

NEWS

Tonawanda junior Zach Braddell fell one match short of winning the 126-pound weight class at Saturday's Niagara Frontier Wrestling Officials Association Tournament at Niagara County Community College.

The third seed lost by major decision, 15-6, to top-seed Beau Bartlett of Wyoming Seminar in the finals.

"That may be the best I have ever seen Zach wrestle," Tonawanda coach Dan Bishop said. "They are a top-five program in the country, and the kid he wrestled in the finals was one of the top three-ranked kids in the state. He was the only kid at the tournament who went the distance against him."
