Tonawanda's wrestling team successfully retained the "battle for the belt" championship, downing North Tonawanda, 60-18, at home Thursday.
Approximately 200 fans attended the second annual event, which was also both teams' alumni night. Joe Muscarella was the meet announcer.
The dual was also a fundraiser for cancer awareness. T-shirts were for sale and donations were accepted at the door. All proceeds from the event went to building awareness for all types of cancer as well as research initiatives at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
