COPENHAGEN — The Copenhagen wrestling team may possess the smallest roster in Section 3, but it also can boast two returning state champions.
Golden Knights senior Dempsey Carroll and junior Riley Dalrymple return for the 2018-19 season. Both wrestlers won New York state titles last season. Carroll took the crown in Division II at 152 pounds Feb. 24 at the Times Union Center in Albany.
Dalrymple captured the girls state folkstyle championship at 117 pounds Feb. 18 at Truman High School in The Bronx. The buzz around the program has the whole team talking.
