WELLSVILLE - Tuesday night, a new era of Wellsville wrestling officially began when the team took the mat at Canisteo-Greenwood.
After serving as an assistant for longtime coach Bob McMorris the last few years, Tyler Carman has taken over the top job and will look to guide a young Lions team back to the top in the years to come.
"I would like to thank the Wellsville administration for the opportunity to become part of the wrestling program," said Carman. "A special thanks to Dean Giopulos for all the time he has spent working with me to help get the season rolling. I appreciate coach (Bob) McMorris welcoming me to the program a few years ago, and allowing me to work with the modified team the last few seasons."
