Amherst's wrestling team had a strong showing at Saturday's 51st annual Akron Holiday Tournament.

The Tigers took second overall in team scoring with 133.5 points.

"I was really pleased with the way our whole team wrestled at this tournament," Amherst coach Dennis Bauer said. "The team performed its best when the leaders performed well, modeling the little things that coaches encourage athletes to do like mental preparation and physical focus prior to matches. Throughout our whole lineup, we were ready when we stepped on the mat."
