When Frankie Gissendanner announced his decision to wrestle at Rider University after completing high school, he said that he liked "the atmosphere" at the school 11 miles north of Trenton, New Jersey.
Something changed.
I officially withdrawn from Rider University. I will be training and proceeding a trade for my careeer for right now so I don't make any hasty decisions in my next college decision. Thank you for all who supported me through out this journey❤️

Gissendanner was moving deeper into his freshman year as a redshirt member of the NCAA Division I team, but not toward settling in and staying at Rider on a full athletic scholarship. The four-time high school state champion said he moved back to Rochester with his parents on Jan. 8. He said he plans on wrestling somewhere else next fall, but does not know where.
