Eric D'Arcy, former wrestling coach at Newark Valley, and Mike Fusilli, NCAA champion while attending Ithaca College and coach in multiple programs, are among seven comprising the Upstate New York Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame's 2020 induction class.
The organization's local chapter has also recognized Marcia Albrecht as Volunteer Award winner and Press & Sun-Bulletin reporter Rob Centorani as recipient of the Stanbro Media Award.

The hall of fame's induction class includes:
Mitch Clark (Ohio State University/Canton High School), Jim Cranfield (Cayuga Community College), Eric Romanino (Beacon High School), Tom Shifflet (Hofstra/University of North Carolina at Greensboro) and Timm Slade (Section VI executive director). The organization presents its Medal of Courage to Jim Hughes (Valley Central High School/Farmingdale HS).
An awards ceremony will be held Sept. 20 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in East Syracuse.
