Syracuse, N.Y. -- Chuck Burlingham recalls watching the Fulton High School wrestling team win state titles in 1982 and 1983 when he was a youngster growing up in the city that straddles the Oswego River just north of Phoenix.
And cheering on those older athletes, he said, made him want to be a part of the winning.
"That's what got me into it," said Burlingham, a Fulton assistant coach. "I'm assuming that's what got lots of kids into it."
