The Old Dominion University athletic department, citing financial challenges that have been exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic, on Thursday announced the elimination of its wrestling program after 63 years.
The move, effective immediately, comes after a season in which coach Steve Martin had four wrestlers qualify for the NCAA tournament.
