SUNY BROCKPORT WRESTLING POSTS 38-3 WIN OVER OSWEGO
Golden Eagles defeat Lakers

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The SUNY Brockport wrestling team defeated Oswego, 38-3 Wednesday night. The Golden Eagles are now 5-1, the Lakers fall to 5-5.

In the 125 class, Brockport's Alan Boice (Vernon/Vernon Verona) defeated John Spinner (Burke/Franklin Academy) by decision 9-2. Tony D'Ambra (Caledonia/Caledonia-Mumford) defeated Oswego's Josh LeVea (Fulton/G. Ray Bodley), in the 133 class, by decision 7-4.

Dan Roberts (Bellport/Bellport) won the 141 match by technical fall, defeating Gabriel Young (Bronx/Truman). Kyle Fried (Rock Hill/Monroe-Woodbury) defeated Mike Bahrenburg (Commock/Commock) in the 149 match 8-2.

At 157 pounds, Shaheim Bradshaw (Huntington/Huntington) defeated Jarrett Mills (Boonville/Adirondack) by pinning Mills at 2:52. In the 165 weight class, Donald Williams (Kendall/Kendall Jr.) was defeated 6-5 by Oswego's Frank Petrucci (Montebello/Don Bosco).

At 174 pounds, Brett Giehl (Rochester/Greece Athena) defeated Chuck Guttilla (Huntington/Huntington) 9-2. Dan Glover (Rochester/Gates Chili) defeated Jon Jagatnarian (Bronx/Truman) in the 184 weight class 6-5 after an escape in the final seconds of the match. Brockport's Will Weiss (Oxford/Oxford) pinned Pete Kaskella (Massena/Massena) at 2:14 to win the 197 weight class. Patrick Bennett pinned Jake Taylor (Rochester/Rush Henrietta) at 1:51 to win the HWT class.

The Golden Eagles will now travel to RIT Wednesday February 2 for a 7:00 p.m. match.
