ROCHESTER, NY -- John Carroll Universty won the 39th RIT Wrestling Invitational with an overall score of 147.50. The outstanding wrestler was Tim Ruberg of Johnson and Wales who wo the 174 lb. division.

RIT's Chad Sutliff (Linesville, PA), seeded second, won the 157 lb division for the second straight year. He defeated #5 Jim Stanck of John Carroll in the finals 6-1.

Sutliff began the day with a win over Colin Boyle of the Coast Guard Academy with technical fall. He went on to beat Josh Eagen of Cortland with a pinfall at 3:45. The sophomore grappler defeated Brian Haines from Baldwin Wallace with another pinfall this time coming at 2:53. In the semifinals Sutliff defeated #3 Adam Jonas from Wesleyan, 3-0 setting up his win in the finals.
