Golden Eagles Win Seven Bouts, Cruise to 25-15 victory over Oswego
Pat Bennett records 16th straight victory

OSWEGO, NY - The Brockport Golden Eagles won seven of the 10 bouts and scored a 25-15 win over the SUNY Oswego, Wednesday, Jan. 25 at Max Ziel Gymnasium in Oswego.

The fourth-ranked Golden Eagles improved to 4-1 on the season in dual meets. SUNY Oswego, ranked 23rd, is now 5-4-1.

A tech fall win by Brockport's 184-pounder Brett Giehl (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) was key in the victory. Major decisions were also recorded by 157-pounder Shaheim Bradshaw (Huntington,NY/Huntington) and sophomore Donald Williams (Kendall, NY/Kendall) at 165.

Brockport (4-1) scored decisions at 125 with Rob Vaccaro (East Islip, NY/East Islip) winning a 7-6 match, at 141 with Deone Williams (Long Beach, NY/Long Beach) winning 3-2 and Don Ooton (Virginia Beach, VA/Great Bridge) winning by 5-2.

Heavyweight Pat Bennett (Syracuse, NY/Marcellus) scored a 9-2 win for his 16th straight victory after starting the season 5-4.
