HORNELL - The wait is finally over. High-risk winter sports have been given the green light to start, and the Hornell Red Raiders are ready to roll into the season.

After months of speculation and lot of unanswered questions, Governor Cuomo, the NYSPHSAA and the local departments of health have finally approved the start of winter sports, which will begin practices tomorrow on February 1st. For Hornell, the high-risk sports include boys basketball, girls basketball and wrestling.
