ITHACA, N.Y. - The nationally-ranked Ithaca College wrestling team posted a season-high four wins via pin in knocking off Oswego State 45-3 Saturday inside the Ben Light Gymnasium.
Ithaca (4-1), ranked No. 2 in the country in the latest National Wrestling Coaches' Association poll, recorded four wins on falls, added a technical fall victory, had a major decision win, and won two decisions to claim its fourth straight dual win.
The Bombers also received a forfeit win and lost only one match against the Lakers (1-3).
Ithaca raced out to a 27-0 lead through the first six matches before Oswego scored its first points of the day.
Freshman Ferdinand Mase posted a 6-1 decision over Jacob Yankloski at 125 pounds to improve to 12-7 and get the Bombers' dual home opener off to a good start. Mase posted a pair of first-period takedowns and led 4-1 after one period to secure the win.
Junior Jimmy Kaishian, ranked fifth nationally, had a pair of takedowns and got an escape in the second period before securing a pin in 4:22 over James Ronca at 133. The win improved Kaishian's season-long record to 12-5.
Junior Nick Wahba dominated at 141, posting three first-period takedowns en route to a 14-4 major decision triumph over Israel Segarra. The win maintained Wahba's perfect record on the season at 4-0.
Senior Dan Pak won by forfeit at 149 before sophomore Nik Hansen improved to 8-4 thanks to an impressive 20-3 technical fall win over Todd Woodcock at 157. Hansen recorded four first-period takedowns and led 16-2 at the end of the first period before securing the win.
Sophomore Nick Velez, the reigning D3Wrestle.com Wrestler of the Week who is ranked fifth nationally, posted an 8-2 decision over Mark Milisci to win at 165 and run his record to 12-3 before the Bombers closed the match with three straight pins.

Freshman Jake Ashcraft pinned Sean Maloney in 1:10 to win at 184 and improve to 8-5, senior Dan Glinko pinned Ben Paccione in 57 seconds to win at 197 and improve to 10-5, and junior Matt Booth capped the win with a pin of Kade Andrews in 1:40 at 285 to even his record at 10-10.
The Bombers are done with competitions in 2015 and will return to action at the national duals, Jan. 8-9, 2016 at Fort Wayne, Indiana. The competition will feature 24 of the best teams in the country, including nine of the top 10 ranked schools nationally.
