NEWS

The Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) officially announced its annual list of All-Academic Team selections for the 2021-22 season. The conference honored 93 wrestlers in this season's release, marking the fourth consecutive year that the All-Academic Team topped the 50-mark and second straight year with over 90 honorees.

Freshmen and transfers that have been enrolled full-time for at least one semester are eligible to receive this honor.

For the third straight year, RIT led all member institutions with 25 honorees. Oneonta was third with 11 honorees.

Oneonta's 11 honorees are graduate student Tyler Brazinski (Johnson City/Johnson City) (Psychology), seniors Tyler Skala (East Quogue/Westhampton Beach) (Childhood Education), Anthony Romero (Spring Valley/Ramapo) (Criminal Justice), and Jacob Pine (Hoosick Falls/Hoosick Falls) (Dietetics), juniors Greg Brach (Bellmore/Belmore JFK) (Elementary Education), Sam Berger (East Setauket/Ward Melville) (Finance), Michael Blando (Massapequa/Massapequa) (Criminal Justice) and Kevin Jorgensen (Bohemia/Connetquot) (Education), sophomore Noah Kennedy (Greene/Greene) (Adolescent Education), and freshmen Joel Zea (Queens/Thomas Edison) (Undeclared) and Anderson Klosner (Ilion/Central Valley Academy) (Adolescent Education).
