Cody Griswold Releases 2022-23 Women's Wrestling Schedule

ELMIRA, N.Y. - Cody Griswold, who enters his third season as the head coach for the Elmira College women's wrestling program, has announced the release of the 2022-23 schedule for the Soaring Eagles. The schedule features five home dual matches along with the EC Quad Invite.
Building momentum after a season that saw the Purple & Gold earn the program's first-ever national ranking and All-American wrestler (Skylah Chakouian '25), EC will open its campaign inside Speidel Gymnasium against East Stroudsburg University on November 1. The Soaring Eagles will close the month of November with a pair of open/dual matchups at the ESU Open (Nov. 6) and Adrian Duals (Nov. 12-13).
The Soaring Eagles return to dual competition by traveling to Lock Haven University on December 1 followed by a meeting of the best programs in the area at the Northeast Regional Duals on December 4 at Gannon University. EC will also travel to Ursinus for a dual on December 11 before closing the first half of its campaign.
January will be an action-packed month for the Purple & Gold as EC opens the New Year by hosting the EC Quad Invite inside Speidel Gymnasium on January 14. The Soaring Eagles take part in the Ursinus Invite on January 15 before hosting three consecutive duals in the Twin Tiers against Delaware Valley (Jan. 18), Western New England (Jan. 22), and Sacred Heart University (Jan. 29).
EC will close the dual portion of its campaign on February 5 with a matchup against New Jersey City University before hosting Lock Haven in a regular-season finale on February 8. The Soaring Eagles shift their focus to regional competition on February 18-19 at the Northeast Regionals which will be hosted by Gannon. EC will take part in the National Collegiate Championships on March 3-4 at Alliant Energy Powerhouse Arena in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
