York, PA - The SUNY Brockport Men's Wrestling team placed sixth in the New Standard Corporation Invitational hosted by York College.
(125) - Liam Bullock started of the day in the consolation bracket working towards third place. He fell at 1:53 in his first match of the day.
(133) - Matt Caccamise started the day in the consolation bracket as well working towards his third-place finish. Caccamise won his first match by a fall at 4:12, his second of the day by a 12-2 major decision and his final match by a 6-4 decision, winning him third place.
(141) - Marquis Larmond won his first match of the day with a 4-2 decision. He won his second match with a 5-3 decision, before falling in his third by pin at 1:43.
(149) - Eli Sims started his first match of the day with a 11-5 decision leading him into the Semi-Finals where he fell by a 5-4 decision. He won one more match with a pin at 6:05, securing him third in the tournament.
(157) - Matthew Cestare won his first match of the day by a 14-3 major decision, leading him into his next match where he fell by a 4-3 decision. Charles Loucks received a first round BYE before falling in his first match with a 8-3 decision. Sam Grey also received a first round BYE, he won his first match with a 16-3 major decision before falling by pin at 4:38 in his second match of the day.
(165) - Matthew Kline started the day with a win by a 11-3 major decision before moving on to his second match where he pinned his opponent at 4:03. He won his third match of the day by a 8-6 decision before falling in his fourth match of the day 5-3. Michael Fronczak received a first round BYE, before falling in his first match the day by a technical fall. 17-2.
(174) - Jared Zenie won his first match of the day with a 7-2 decision, before moving on to his second where he won by a 9-2 decision. He won his third match of the day with a 4-0 decision before falling in his fifth match by a technical fall 19-1. Gavin McLaughlin received a first round BYE, before falling in his first match by a 3-2 decision.
(184) - Jaheel Herrar received a first round BYE before losing in his first match by a technical fall of 15-0. Kareem Ali won his first match of the day by a 8-2 decision before falling in his next match by a 10-7 decision.
(197) - Michael Sullivan won his first match of the day with a 10-8 decision before falling in his second by an 8-0 major decision. He won his first match in the consolation bracket 7-1, before pushing him into his final match where he won 17-9 and placed third in the tournament. Nick Franco started the day off with a BYE before falling in his first match of the day with a 3-2 decision.
(285) - Joe Yanis started the day of with a BYE before winning his first match with a 18-3 technical fall. He won his second match with a 7-6 decision before falling 1-3 in his third match of the day. He lost his fourth match of the day 3-2.
