BATAVIA - The 49th annual Batavia/Attica Holiday Tournament provided plenty of excitement over the weekend, as the host Blue Devils grappled their way to a second-place finish, behind champion Canisteo-Greenwood, which finished the meet with four individual champions.
The Blue Devils saw two athletes finish atop the podium, with Casper Stewart claiming first place at 152 pounds following a pin of C-G's Colton Havens in the final whichtook 3:42. Wyatt Kauffman also earned a first-place finish for Batavia/Attica, defeating Williamsville's Max Smith by decision, 5-0. Wyatt Bryman was the lone Blue Devils wrestler to take second, falling to Red Jacket's Hasen Wetherbee, 9-2, in the 132-pound final.
