JAMESTOWN - Salamanca's Konner Spring earned a second-place finish in the Section 6 Class C/D Wrestling Championship on Saturday.

Spring won his first three matches in the tournament at Southwestern High School, all by pin, to make the 126-pound championship. In the finals, Spring lost by 20-5 technical fall to Chautauqua Lake?s Jordan Joslyn.

The top five wrestlers by class in the C/D tournament will advance to the Section 6 Div. II State Qualifier Saturday, Feb. 11, at Lake Shore.
