ALBANY - Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Panama/Clymer's Jordan Joslyn is a state champion.
So is Southwestern's Tavio Hoose.
Joslyn, the Thunderbirds' 126-pound junior, beat Tioga's Gianni Silvestri 6-4 in the finals of the Division II bracket at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships at MVP Arena on Saturday night to become Chautauqua Lake?s first state champion since Bryce Rowe in 2008.
Hoose, the Trojans 172-pound freshman, beat Cold Spring Harbor's Greyson Meak 5-4 in their championship match to become Southwestern's first champion since Matt Mazgaj won back-to-back titles in 2003 and 2004.
