A quick reminder of how difficult it can be to win a high school state wrestling title.
This was the largest group of wrestlers from Section V to go to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships, 65, if you combine the Division I or large schools and Division II qualifiers.
Three of those wrestlers made it to the other side of the championship bracket, becoming state champions, all for the first time:
