BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo wrestler Giuseppe Hoose will be in action at the NCAA Championships on Thursday. A first-time national qualifier, the Bulls' 184-pounder will take the mat at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK.
Hoose received an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships and is seeded 21st. He will face Iowa's Abe Assad, the 12th seed, in the first round. The two have met previously. Back in November, Assad won by technical fall over Hoose in a dual.
Hoose is 20-7 overall on the season and went 14-6 in duals. His 53 takedowns on the year rank seventh in program history for a single season.
