Air Force Falls at No. 3 Missouri
COLUMBIA, MO - The No. 3 Missouri Tigers outscored Air Force in Big 12 action, 38-3, Sunday afternoon in the Hearnes Center. The Falcons, pulling off an upset victory in the effort, drop to 2-2 on the season with an 0-2 mark in Big 12 duals.
The Tigers (4-0, 3-0 Big 12) were led by a plethora of top-10 wrestlers scoring bonus-point wins in six weight divisions, including bonus points from the 2023 national champion Keegen O'Toole at 165.
Air Force's Sam Wolf had a highlight performance, taking No. 6 Clayton Whiting to the deep water where he outpaced him to a sudden victory takedown to win the match, 4-1. Wolf, the eighth-ranked wrestler in the nation, has knocked off three top-10 adversaries in the month of December.
The Falcons will enjoy the Christmas and New Year break before heading to the David Lehman Open hosted by Franklin & Marshal, January 5. Air Force's next dual meet will be against Big 12 rival Wyoming, January 12, in Laramie.
