As the clock ticked, St. Francis' Jack Coughlin secured a late takedown. As he secured his positioning, the Red Raiders? hopefuls rose to their feet in unison, as Coughlin secured the pin at the 4:59 mark.
Coughlin and St. Francis needed that. The team needed him to not only win but also by a pin. He did just that in the 285-pound match to secure St. Francis' victory by a 295-294 margin over St. Joseph's to become the Monsignor Martin regular-season team champion. In back-to-back weeks, St. Francis has won a team championship, with the Red Raiders winning the state Catholic dual meet to end January.
