Brockport Comes up Short at RIT

Rochester, NY - The Brockport wrestling team was defeated at RIT, 43-4, on Friday, February 16th. The Golden Eagles fell to 2-12 in dual competition following the loss.

Liam Bullock lost a tight 11-8 decision to Lee Rubin of the Tigers in the 125lb division.

In the 133lb division, Alex Burroughs fell to Logan Patterson by technical fall (16-1, 5:00).

Jaden Friel was tripped up by Isaiah Shafer in the 141 lb division by decision (16-11).

Mahmoud Esa fell by fall against Mike Glynn at 149 lb by fall in 1:59.

In the 157 lb, Max Morrison was taken down by fall against Marek Bush (0:52).

Michael Syposs was defeated by Liam Strouse in the 165 lb division by major decision (15-4).

Gavin McLaughlin came up short against Ben Dougherty, losing by a tech fall at 5:36.

At 184 lb, Kiam Coleman was defeated by fall in 2:27 by Zach Swyers.

Elijah Bonet was taken down by a technical fall at 197lb by Nicholas Smith of RIT.

Ending the night on a high note, Nick Franco scored a major decision win over Ryan Fischer at 285 lb.

Up Next: The Golden Eagles will head to Ewing, NJ to take part in the Mideast Futures Tournament on February, 25th.
