COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA - Jamestown Community College's Kyle Keefe made it to the national round of 16 before his season came to a close in Iowa.

Keefe earned his way through the round of 32 with an 11-5 win in his opening match before dropping the round of 16 bout 6-1.

Kyle Keefe dropped his Round of 16 match, 6-1, and makes him 1-1 for nationals. The loss moves him to the consolation bracket of 174 lbs. He still has a chance to wrestle back into the championship.#ProtectTheNest🦅 pic.twitter.com/HYjCbzv37j
His next match was in the consolation bracket, where he fell 9-3 to end his tournament. The sophomore reached the national championship bracket by winning the 174lb division at districts last month. His stellar season included winning the NCCC Thunderwolves Open and finishing on the podium in several other events.
