LA CROSSE, WI - RIT junior Mike Glynn finished eighth at 149 lb. to earn All-American honors at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.
Saturday, No. 8 seed Glynn lost to Colby Frost, 7-4 in overtime in his consolation semifinal match. Frost took a 3-0 lead with a takedown in the first period. Glynn got a reversal late in the period to pull within 3-2.

Glynn tied the match at 3-3 with an escape in the second, but Frost took a 4-3 lead with an escape in the third period. Glynn tied it on a penalty late in the period, but Frost got a takedown in overtime for the win. Glynn lost 6-3 to Michael Conklin in the seventh-place match
Friday, Glynn defeated Washington & Lee's Evan Lindner, 15-8 in OT in his opening bout. Glynn took a 3-0 lead with a takedown in the first period, but Lindner picked up an escape and a takedown late in the period to take a 4-3 lead. Lindner took a 5-4 lead with an escape early in the second period, but Glynn responded with a takedown with 45 seconds remaining to take a 6-5 lead.
Glynn escaped early in the third period to increase his lead to 7-5, but Lindner took an 8-7 lead with a takedown. Glynn tied the match with an escape late in the period and won it with a near-fall in overtime.
Glynn fell to No. 1 Michael Petrella, 10-5 in the quarterfinals, but came back to defeat Jesse Alvarado with a fall at 5:51 in his consolation quarterfinal match.
Glynn, competing in his first NCAA Championship, finishes the season with a 29-5 record.
