La Crosse, WI - The Alfred State men's wrestling team's Sean Malenfant notched fifth place at the NCAA National Championship. Sean Malenfant went 4-2 on the weekend.

In today's action, Malenfant In today's action, Malenfant started the day with a 4-2 decision over Jack Ryan of Oneonta State. In that match, his notched a takedown and an escape. After a loss in his match, he earned a spot in the fifth-place match. Malenfant would end the season with a 10-1 major decision win over Dylan Wellbaum of Adrian. In that match, Malenfant tallied three takedowns, and a riding time point.
