LA CROSSE, Wisc. - Ithaca College sophomore Isaias Torres finished seventh at 133 lbs. to claim All-American honors on Saturday at the 2024 NCAA Division III Wrestling National Championships.
The No. 8 seeded and Regional Champion, Torres had an impressive Friday going 3-1 and booking himself a place into the third round of consolations. He squared off against another sophomore in Jacob Blair, with the winner guaranteeing themselves a top-six placement in the 133 lbs. weight class. Blair would go on to earn a 12-5 victory over Torres.

In the seventh-place match, Isaias Torres was able to win in thrilling fashion as he pinned Desmond Diggs (Mount St. Joseph) doing so in 3:54. Torres made his second-straight appearance at the NCAA Championships and earned his first All-American honor, finishing the season with a 37-10 record.
