WATERLOO - Jerry K. Drayer made a vast impact during a 53-year coaching career and left an unmistakable feeling on those who surrounded him.
Drayer, who had been an assistant wrestling coach at Waterloo High School for nearly the last three decades, died unexpectedly at the age of 82 on July 20.
Drayer taught history and coached wrestling, cross country and track & field for young men and women at Akron High School for 37 years before retiring as a teacher in 1998.
