ALBANY, N.Y. (WETM) - New York State high school girls wrestling will embrace a new way to compete this season.
At the executive board meeting in Saratoga Springs Thursday, the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYPHSAA) passed junior freestyle rules and scoring for girls wrestling. The changes will take effect immediately and will be in place for the start of the season when the sport begins in November.
