The Golden Eagles placed sixth as a team at the Messiah Invitational down in PA

Brockport, NY - The Brockport wrestling team traveled to Messiah University for the Messiah Invitational where they competed against Messiah, Washington and Lee, Ursinus, Elizabethtown, McDaniel, Liberty, Johns Hopkins, and Wheaton. Brockport came in sixth place with 86.5 points out of the nine teams competing.
In the 174 lb division, Gavin McLaughlin's third place finish helped score 18 points for the Green and Gold. McLaughlin faced Johns Hopkins, Messiah, and McDaniel.
In the 133 lb division, Matthew Reehil faced Elizabethtown, Messiah and Ursinus where he placed 4th and scored 15 points for the team.
Kiam Coleman faced Liberty, Messiah, and Johns Hopkins where he placed fifth in the 174 lb division and scored 14.5 points for the Golden Eagles.
Jaden Friel finished at fifth place in the 141 division and scored 13.5 points facing Ursinus, Messiah, Johns Hopkins.
Liam Bullock then went on the face Ursinus, Washington and Lee and Messiah placing fifth in the 125 lb division and scored 12 points for Brockport.
Nick Franco competed against Ursinus, Liberty, Washington and Lee and Wheaton where he placed sixth in the 285 lb division and scored 11 team points.
Simon Lingle scored 5.5 in the 197 lb division facing Liberty, Washington and Lee, and Ursinus. Lingle fell to Ursinus in sudden victory.
Brendon Ramsey competed in the 133 lb division where he put up 4 points for the team while facing Messiah.
Elijah Bonet scored 3.5 points for Brockport in the 184 lb division where he competed against Messiah and Ursinus.
Spencer Maja ended up scoring Brockport 3 points in the 149 lb division where he was matched up against Wheaton.
Austin Boff scored 2.5 points facing Messiah and Ursinus also scoring 2.5 points for the team was Brandon Drummond in the 165 lb division facing Elizabethtown, Liberty and McDaniel.
Maxwell Morrison scored 2 points for Brockport facing Johns Hopkins and Elizabeth town in the 165 lb division.
Up Next - The Green and Gold will travel to Oswego State on Saturday, November 9th for a 1pm start for their next matchup.
