Brockport State Defeats Oswego, 30-17, Seymour Earns 1st Career Win at Brockport

Brockport, NY - The Brockport wrestling team traveled to Oswego State on Saturday where they faced the Lakers and brought home a 30-17 win. The Golden Eagles now sit at 1-0 in dual competition to start out the 2024 season. Head Coach Troy Seymour picks up the first dual win of his career as the leader of the Golden Eagle program.

In the 125lb division, Liam Bullock took the win with a 10-8 decision over Ryan Devins of the Lakers.

Brendon Ramsey took the fall in the 133 lb division to Michael Santore after a 4-0 decision.

Dylan Nolan took the fall at 4:06 to Gabe Goss in the 141 lb division.

In the 149 match, Jaden Friel won by fall just 6:12 into the match against Ben Burkhardt.


Nahan Finn fell short with a technical fall of 19-3 at 5:00 up against Tyler Rossini of Oswego.

Next at 165, Marquis Larmond took the victory over Will Burnell after a technical fall of 22-5 just 4:57 into the match.

Gavin McLaughlin (174) took care of business in his match against James Sturek with a major decision of 13-3.

At 184, Kiam Coleman brought his game, winning over Aaron Fredenburg early on at 1:04 into the match with a fall.

Simon Lingle (197) fell to Anthony Cascen from Oswego after a 10-4 decision.

Nick Franco finished out the day with a win over Dylan Cogswell in the 285 division with a fall just 1:44 into the match.
