Buffalo, NY- The Alfred State women's wrestling team picked up the program's first win as they took down Buff State 20-19. Pioneers move to 1-3 on the year.

The Pioneers trailed 5-0 heading into the 117 bout, where Dianna Pineda notched a 12-0 tech fall win. After a double forfeit in the 124 match, the Bengals extended their lead with two wins, 14-5. Ethe Hemphill (145), Emily Brown (160), and Allison Strausbaugh (180) notched three straight fall wins to take a 20-14 lead. The Pioneers would hang on to win the dual 20-19.
