BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling team dropped a home dual to Central Michigan, 26-6, on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Arena. Similar to Friday's dual at Northern Illinois, the Bulls dropped some early matches by a close margin that proved to be the difference.
Max Elton started things off with a win for the Bulls at 125 lbs. The sophomore got a takedown early in the first period and held off Grant Stahl for the 4-2 victory.
Trailing, 4-3, in the dual, Andy Lucinsky dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision at 141 and Sam Ewing followed with a sudden victory loss at 149.
Rafael Knapp dropped a close 4-3 decision to former MAC Champion Alex Cramer in the 174 match.
Marcus Petite kept his good season going with a 9-3 decision over Adrien Cramer at 184. It was Petite's 10th straight dual match win.
Lonnell Pabon put up a good fight against Luke Cochran, the second ranked wrestler in the MAC, dropping a 9-6 decision.
The Bulls are back in action next Sunday when they host Binghamton at 1 pm at Alumni Arena.
