ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell wrestling makes its season debut in Friedman Wrestling Center with a 32-8 win over Ivy League opponent Princeton. The Big Red is one match away from clinching the Ivy League title for the fourth consecutive year.
Tyler Ferrara and Josh Saunders got the dual going for the Big Red. Saunders achieved a ranked win over No. 29 Eligh Rivera.
The next four matches earned Cornell bonus points. Ethan Fernandez earned a major decision, then the Big Red racked up three straight technical falls from Meyer Shapiro, Julian Ramirez and Simon Ruiz.
Chris Foca then grabbed a ranked win for himself over No. 27 Kole Mulhauser at 184 pounds.
Mikey Dellagatta fell to No. 15 Luke Stout by technical fall then Ashton Davis finished the match out with a 5-0 decision over Sebastian Garibaldi.
