FRANKLINVILLE — At Franklinville’s home wrestling tournament last winter, in the boys lightweight division, a first-year girls wrestler turned heads. Quickly, after a couple of pins and a runner-up finish in the boys class, it became clear to fans and scouts in the gym that they were looking at something out of the ordinary.
For Selena Hernandez, now a sophomore at Franklinville High School, wrestling has become more than a competition — a source of purpose, confidence, and possibility.
