Women's Wrestling Collects Three Podium Finishers at ESU Open

EAST STROUDSBURG, PA. – The Elmira College women's wrestling team opened its season on Sunday at the 2025 East Stroudsburg University Open. The Soaring Eagles finished in a tie for fifth place with Abby Duke (second place), Zoey Lints (fifth place), and Megan Edwards (sixth place) each collected podium finishes in their respective weight classes.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
No. 10 ranked Abby Duke competed in the 110-bout and posted a 3-1 record on the day. She recorded back-to-back tech falls against Madison Northern from Lincoln Memorial and Kenaya Mwehu from Frostburg. In the semifinals, Duke recorded the fall at 2:37 against Amelia Murphy from King University to advance to the championship match. She fell short to a 12-0 tech fall against Teegan Sibble from East Stroudsburg to claim second place.
No. 3 ranked Zoey Lints competed in the 145-weight class and posted a 5-1 record on the day. She opened with a pair of 10-0 tech falls against Shonticia Taft from Lincoln Memorial and Adriana Hasking from Sacred Heart. She fell short in her third match of the day but bounced back with a 6-0 decision against Alena Garcia from Sacred Heart. She finished in fifth place after recording a fall in 2:11 against Julia Fongaro from Lehigh and another fall in 1:13 against Lina Lockard who was unattached.
Megan Edwards competed in the 124-weight class and posted a 5-2 record on the day. Having to fight through the losers bracket, she collected a fall in 1:49 against Hannah Parrish and a forfeit due to injury in her third match. Edwards continued to fight with back-to-back decisions against Daniela Espinal from Montreat College (17-14) and Olivia Palmer from East Stroudsburg (13-4). In a tough battle against Callan Drake from Sacred Heart, she posted a 9-2 decision before falling short and collecting sixth place.
Talia Robles competed in the 160-bout and posted a 3-2 record on the day. In her first match, she recorded a fall at 0:53 against Madison Stroud from Norwich. Robles dropped her second match before bouncing back with a 14-12 decision against Kylie Monroe from York College. She collected her last win in a 5-1 decision against Shandrea Morgan from Lincoln Memorial. Robles also went head-to-head with No. 8 Love Daley from Sacred Heart, but fell short in a 10-0 tech fall.
Kali Bailey competed in the 131-bout and posted a 2-2 record on the day. In her first win, she recorded a fall at 2:02 against Ava Capogna from East Stroudsburg. In her second victory, she pinned Danny Taranto from Pittsburgh-Johnston at 0:39.
Alexis Bilka-Durdon competed in the 207-weight class and posted a 2-2 record on the day. After dropping her first match, she retaliated with a fall in 1:14 against Emily Smith from Norwich. Her second victory was a 12-1 tech fall against Addyson Munro from East Stroudsburg.
Joycedeliz Rodriguez Santia competed in the 103-bout and posted a 1-2 record on the day. Her lone win came against Daphne Edwards from Kean University, where she was trailing 4-3 in the first period before pinning her opponent at 1:18.
Gabby Bradigan competed in the 138-weight class and posted a 1-2 record on the day. Her lone win came against Abbigale Bowman from Wilkes where she tallied a 10-0 tech fall.
Tess Clabaugh competed in the 138-bout and posted a 1-2 record on the day. Her lone win came against Isabella Marsh from Montreat College where she tallied a 12-2 tech fall.
