BRADFORD, PA - Utica University's men's wrestling team began its 2025-26 season by traveling to compete in a quad meet hosted by Pitt-Bradford. In addition to the host school, Elmira College and Jamestown Community College also participated in the event. The Pioneers won their matches against Elmira and Jamestown, but fell to Pitt-Bradford in a close contest. Seth Richardson (Fort Plain, NY/Fort Plain) led Utica with a win in all three of his matches of the night.
No other Pioneer won three times on the day, but five Utica athletes achieved two wins. Of these five, three earned both of their wins over an opponent. Freshman Caden Beecher (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit Valley) began his collegiate career by going 2-0 at the event, with wins coming by fall and decision. Juniors Matt Bonato (Syracuse, NY/Liverpool) and Rian Kirker (Red Hook, NY/Red Hook) earned 2-1 records across their three matches. Freshmen Jiovanni Chambers (Ronkonkoma, NY/Holy Trinity Diocese) and Nuallan King (Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl Area High School) each contributed 2-1 records as well, with one
