ITHACA, N.Y. — Cornell wrestling turned in a dominant showing at its home Big Red Invitational on Sunday, collecting nine individual titles and 18 total top-three finishes during a full day of round-robin action at Ithaca College.
Across seven to eight active mats, every Big Red wrestler logged four matches in a high-volume evaluation meet that featured Binghamton, Brown, Bloomsburg, Clarion, George Mason and Sacred Heart. Admission was free for fans, who packed Ben Light Gymnasium throughout the day.
"It was a great day of wrestling and an important step forward for our group," The David Dunlop '59 Head Coach of Wrestling Mike Grey '11 said. "These early events give everyone meaningful mat time, and we saw guys compete hard in every weight class."
